On Friday June 12, the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department held their 74th annual Ice Cream Social from 6-10pm in Spencer Park. Our Ice Cream Social is one of the largest events of its kind in this region. Over 3,000 people came out to support the VVFD and enjoyed great food and entertainment. We sold hot dogs, ice cream, cakes, and pies that were provided by donations from the community. Food service was courtesy of the Ladies Auxiliary. Taylor Sams, The Laurel Creek Bluegrass Band, and David Wells were the musical entertainers of the night. This year we were able to raise $25,540 which will go toward funds for training and equipment for the VVFD. We would like to extend our thanks to all those who attended and to the business community in helping promote the event. The Ice Cream Social was a great success and could not have been made possible without the support and generosity of our community. We hope to see everyone back for more fun and great food next year!
